Silodosin
Silodosin is an alpha-Adrenergic Blocker. The mechanism of action of silodosin is as an Adrenergic alpha-Antagonist. Silodosin is a selective alpha-1a adrenergic antagonist used in the therapy of benign prostatic hypertrophy. Blockade of these receptors causes smooth muscle relaxation, lowers intraurethral pressure, and results in improved urine flow and a reduction in the symptoms of BPH, such as difficulty with urinating, painful urination, urinary frequency and incomplete bladder emptying.
-
Dutasteride
Dutasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor used in the therapy of symptomatic benign prostatic hypertrophy in men with an enlarged prostate gland.
Benefits & Usage
ADDIRA 4/8 works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. ADDIRA-D8 is a combination of two medicines: Silodosin and Dutasteride, which relieves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
